Pregnancy problems

I am still kind of new to this site but i have to find somewhere to go to and vent! Recently I came into closer to the end of my pregnancy and even though i was scheduled 5-6 hours of work certain days with a 15 minute break during my shift, sometimes it just felt too much. So, i went to my doctors and had them give me a note for my boss to kind of cover my butt so I wouldn't get into trouble for siting down a lot, but I had to sit down for a few minutes here and there to rest when I started to get sharp pains. However, now that my boss received the note, I am no longer allowed to work because they can't accommodate what the doctors need me to do. So now I am jobless until my baby is born!

Sorry to hear that like pregnancy is not stressful enough! Although you were part time did you have a contract? I know different rules but here in the UK that would be discrimination and they would have to pay maternity leave. Even if you are part time so long as there is an employment contract.
For self employed we have the government allowance but it's not much.
Hopefully you can find something to help you. Try and enjoy the last stages of your pregnancy

Does your state offer a disability that will cover you due to this? Some have programs that help, while others opted out of funding for this program.

I am sorry to hear that they wouldn't work with you and instead decided to let you go from your job. That is not right.

yeah knowing i have a family to take care of and a house to pay for ... they said you might just as well take my leave now and then when the baby is born, then let them know when i am ready to come back.
