Last night my 7 year old son was admitted into hospital and placed on a drip and bloods taken. It was all very scarey for both of us. I stayed with him the whole time...slept in a chair next to his bed.
Have you ever experienced something like this? how did you cope?

Been there once and that was enough for me mystikel. When our son was 9 he broke his arm an inch above the elbow and on New Year's Eve too. He had to be moved to a larger hospital just over an hour from where we lived. He was taken to surgery at 11.30 p.m. and I spent 4 days with him at the Hospital.
The worst was actually before he had surgery and once that was over it was a bit easier.
I do hope that your son is okay and yes it is very scary both for the parents as well as the child, particularly if you don't know what the actual medical problem is.
