Many of us were also taught to brush first thing in the morning. Can't do it too much, can we?

I brush my teeth 2X a day, morning and evening. I used to do lunch as well, that was before I became a teacher and have barely any time to even eat or go to the bathroom throughout the day. I also use dental pick to clean in between my teeth every day as well.

I think brushing 5 times a day is actually bad for the enamel. I brush my teeth twice a day, as soon as I wake up and then again in the night/afternoon.

As a kid, I was always made to brush my teeth in the morning, after every meal, after any snack, gum, etc., before going out of the house, and before bed. I think that may be why I slack off now. Now it is more like 2-3 times a day, mainly because it isn't practical to brush after every meal when you work and do other things during the day. Usually in the morning, before bed, and sometimes at some point during the day, particularly before leaving the house.
It's worth noting that I did not have a single cavity until around the time I was in college, and my teeth are a mess now, so perhaps my parents were on to something...

I brush my teeth after breakfast and before sleep every day. Sometimes if I have plans for th evening or the night, I will also brush them before leaving the house.
I wish I could do a quick brushing aftet lunch but I am at work during lunchtime so its not possible.

Two to three times a day plus you have to floss. If you excessively brush, you could wear down the enamel and that's bad.
