Didn't make sense back then, but now it did

Since we live in the age of science, I have always tried to study my religion in the light of science and facts so it makes more sense to me what I am doing rather than what I was taught. And I do understand science is developing day by day, so some of our beliefs are just beliefs without any proof to back it up, We can hope someday science will be capable to prove them all.
Just now I got a video shared from my friend. Quite interesting to watch. When I was young in the religious school, I was taught to lean to the left side a bit while using the natural squat position while we poop. The teacher said that's what the religious teaching is eventhough it is not mandatory to do so.
Now to see this fact from the scientific point of view, I feel quite amazed and stunned to see the religious teaching was way ahead of its time when it was introduced.
did you know that this was the best practice to be adopted?

Science is only now starting to catch up with the Bible in so many ways. It's amazing the knowledge that has been around for centuries and accepted by faith but was given little credit until science was able to prove it.

Great observation. I am struck more and more frequently with the leaps science is making in proving much of what so many have known since, well, since forever, lol.

I didn't know about leaning while pooping. I think it's a good idea to view religion alongside science, though. Good to have more than one viewpoint!
