Why is the USA and Russia involved in Syria?

Anybody with common sense and critical thinking knows there is only one real reason why any country gets involved with countries that primarily exports oil/natural gas. Who cares what happens in the Middle East? People who stand to benefit from oil exports care. Major corporations and others connected with the Military Industrial Complex are very interested. In the Superpower race, oil access is the key to power/influence. Two pipelines run through Syria. Russia has access to one that originates in Iran and the USA has another that originates in Qatar. That is why they are both in the Middle East claiming they are fighting against terrorism. Mainstream media certainly knows this but they won't admit it.

Terrorism exists.........just like lightning strikes. In the USA, lightning kills 25 people per year since 2002. In that same time frame, terrorism killed 2.5 people per year. We need to start a "War on Lightning".

Yes you are right about the oil but is all so keep sale of weapons and fire power selling to
it kind of both because Terrois can block the oil which can make everything go up in price
