Do you mind when someone asks your age?

January 21, 2017 12:18pm CST
You must have heard that asking someone's age (especially a woman's) is a tremendous lack of education. I've heard that a lot when I was a kid and asked the age of my mom's friends. If this is really true, what would be the reason? No one can beat the time (though millions of people try to slow him down as much as they can). Aging is a biologically natural process, no one escapes (only those people who - unfortunately - die before they grow old).

That was an invention of the very vain, personally I love telling my age if I need to or if I'm asked. So far no one believes I'm 67 so that makes me doubly happy ...... I'm pretending none of them are lying to me

I don't really mind but sometimes I have to think about how old I am because I'll sometimes think I'm still in my early 20s!

I don't prefer it, but sometimes I realize it is necessary.

I am not really sure but I do remember that asking someone's age be it a man or a woman is said to be disrespectful. However, when you guess someone's age and deliberately make it lower than expected, they will feel flattered! Weird but I think it is more of some people not disclosing their age. LOL!

It doesn't bother me if someone asks my age. It is just a number to me.

I do mind when other people ask me personal questions that I can't avoid answering. Asking about my age is one of those questions. It depends on who is asking and what's the purpose of the question.

When I was little I wanted people to sake me my age because I wanted them to know I was getting older. As a teen I also wanted people to know my age to see I was growing up. As a young adult I didn't care one way or another and now I enjoy surprising people with my age because I don't look my age.

I don't mind, because most folks have guessed way too young. Sometimes as much as 15 years younger, than my actual age. So I get a thrill knowing I still look younger than I actually am. The only time it ever bothered me...was when I was young. I had a hard time getting dates with men my own age. Many thought they were robbing the cradle. LOL I was constantly being chased by young boys. LOL I was never too crazy being labeled a "cougar."...
