I recommend you check out Jordan Peterson's youtube channel

Clinical psychologist and university professor Jordan Peterson became internet famous overnight when he found himself embroiled in a political controversy over his opposition to Canadian legislative bill C-16, which is intended to protect the rights of transgendered people but which professor Peterson asserts will also threaten free speech in the process. (His own articulation of this position is better than any summary which I could ever write so I will direct you to his video "Fear and the Law" if you desire a more in depth exposition). I was introduced to Peterson around this time via a video of him giving a fiery address on the University of Toronto campus explaining the importance of freedom of speech. I found his demeanor to be quite impressive, and had soon delved into his youtube channel, which I highly recommend. The man is a fascinating lecturer. He has two lecture series - the Personality lectures which are mainly focused on clinical psychology, whereas the Maps of Meaning delves into a multidisciplinary admixture of everything from neurology to Nietzsche, folklore to Piaget, Solzhenitsyn to Pinocchio. A little bit of everywhere and he ties it all together so brilliantly. Peterson has been doing the rounds of the podcast circuit, discussing his philosophical outlook with such luminaries as Joe Rogan, Sam Harris, the Honey Badger Radio, so there's plenty of material to listen to. Anyhow, I just wanted to fire off this post to recommend Peterson to anyone who hasn't discovered him yet, I personally have very much enjoyed listening to his lectures, and I think anyone with an intellectual turn of mind will find some value in them.

Thanks for sharing this. Will look him up. I find myself watching and reading people who have different views so that it will give me a different perspective. I may not agree with what they say but it is a good experience for me nonetheless.

I recently came across this info from a wellknown psychiatric doctor named Paul McHugh, talking about what can come out of the transgender to do, surgery. THis is the link:
In The Wall Street Journal, Dr. Paul McHugh writes that a drastic physical change doesn't address underlying psycho-social troubles.

Hmm. If he opposes the bill that wants to protect the rights of transgendered people, that is not cool at all. Let's take away protection of his rights and see how he reacts. Sounds like a moron and homophobe to me.

Okay, cool. Sounds like something interesting to check out. You should have added the link to his channel though. But I will find it.
