Last night I dreamt I was in a race, similar to the amazing race. The dream was not finished so I did not really know if I won or not.
I googled what could possibly be the meaning of that and it said "
Dreaming of a race is a direct parallel for your waking life indicating that you are in a competition of sorts." I am not in a competition with anything or anyone. How can that be possible when both of my legs are currently broken? With that, I just concluded that I don't believe that there are meaning behind dreams.
How about you? Do you believe that there are meanings behind dreams?

According to Sigmund Freud, a psychologist, dreams are expressions of our inner thoughts or feelings, or needs that are not satisfied in real sense.
During times that i have financial problems, i dream of picking money on the ground or counting to much money.
According to Freud, dreams are realization of these needs that are not granted.

Interesting. I guess maybe because I can't use my legs for now, I would want to be in a race and use my legs. That could be it.

It depends on the dream, I've studied a lot of books on dreams, and have done as much research as I could possibly do on the nature of dreams from dictionaries, to dream walking (a theory by Gestalt, which just talks about little pieces of the story equaling something bigger). I am lead to believe each dream has a different meaning, but if it has more of a meaning because of a symbolism, or if it's more than that I'm not quite sure.

@lealuvy2j I found it really interesting when I was younger. I had a weird obsession with understanding dreams and how our subconscious mind worked.
Have you ever wondered what your dreams mean? Today, I will share with you what I learned in my class on Gestalt therapy and the interpretation of dreams. I found this topic to be particularly fascinating. Below is a brief video clip in which Fritz Perls,

some dreams i have had give me meaning and sometimes they are correct. i think too that the dream you had about racing, means that you miss using your legs walking without crutches, as in, walking without assistance. that is my own opinion.

I guess you are right. I do kinda miss walking normally. Once the cast is removed, I would do physical therapy so hopefully I can walk as soon as possible.

You must have been tired before this dream happened. It's just a dream.

Sometimes they make sense sometimes they are whacky at best I read they showcase our inner thoughts and feelings.
