26th January is celebrated as Republic Day of India. Constitution of India was adopted on this day and India was declared Republic country. Celebrations are held all over the country to mark the occasion. I understand that in most of the countries Independence Day is celebrated.

Happy Republic Day to you.. @amitkokiladitya said that it is national holiday in your country today. That means you can enjoy the whole day at home or somewhere..
We only have Independence Day here.

. I have my doubts if Republic Day is celebrated like us in other countries.

@much2say I am glad that you liked it. Yes, it is treat to watch around these areas during night, when all buildings are illuminated and all these famous buildings and the President House are adjacent to each other.

Hope you will enjoy fireworks display on this occasion. However, better to wait for bush fire to subside before you move out.
No fire works takes place here. A big Parade is organised in New Delhi, showing military might and cultural heritage of India. In the evening, all Government buildings are illuminated.
