Just Me and My Tax Return Stuff

tax time

Well, it's that time of year again. Boy it seems to come faster and faster every year. The time of year when you are knee deep in papers and forms, hoping against hope that you have everything you need. Have you ever noticed how that one special little form or record is something that you just can not seem to find? It somehow evades you and makes the whole thing more work than it should be. This year everything I could possibly need for my tax return was thrown into a box as the year progressed. I do believe I have everything I will need to complete my taxes in one place (I hope). Have you thought about starting your taxes yet? If I don't start as soon as I receive all of my forms in the mail I find myself becoming one of those who have to request an extension. This year I am prepared (I think) and hope to wrap it all up by the end of January. Well, maybe. Image by Pixabay : pixabay.com/en/tax-forms-income-business-468440/

I'm still waiting on one form to come in the mail. Then I'm ready to get them done.

@HazySue I've got everything I need now. I just need to find the 'will to', to do it. I'll get it done and over with soon though as I hate letting it linger too long.

I didn't have a choice @enlightenedpsych2 mom was 93 and needed someone to be with her all the time. It could happen to you as well, unless you plan to put your parents in a nursing home.

So was mom until she reached her 90s but then people in their 90s are much more frail than they are when they're in their 70s or 80s @enlightenedpsych2

@LadyDuck it can be stressful. For me the stress is worrying about entering something wrong.

Good luck with finishing up all your tax business. It is so easy to put it off but it isn't the best idea.

@HazySue Me too. I hate having something in the back of my mind that I mustn't forget to do or whatever. I'd rather do whatever it is and get rid of it.

Isn't that the truth. I'd rather do them and not have to have them popping up in my brain every now and then.

Lately it does seem like it becomes a chore when it comes to filing Taxes. I file e-file myself and since we own our home, and I have my business there are always a lot of extra things we can claim, etc that a lot of many others cannot but even so sometimes the little extras can always be the added pain. We have not thought about starting our return yet but probably should soon.

We are still gathering ours. I normally do them every year with Turbo Tax, but this year is different. One of the close family friends of Keith's is going to do them for us this year. He promises we will get a good return. We shall see.
