Yes I voted for Trump and no I am not a racist.
I am not sexist, I am not a homophobic, I am not stupid.
I am very well educated and made my decision after researching both candidates.
I was called a racist after not voting for Obama and am being called a racist for voting for Trump. So I guess if you vote Republican, you are a racist?
I have nothing bad to say about anyone who voted for Hillary, it was their vote, not mine. They thought she was the woman for the job, I disagreed. No harm done.
I have friends on social media that are being downright disgraceful with the name calling towards Trump voters. This is getting ridiculous!
The man won, you may not like him, you may not have voted for him, but he is now the President of the United States.
If you are an American, then he is your president. I didn't vote for Obama but he was still my president and I didn't call anyone that voted for him stupid. I didn't protest in the street because my candidate of choice didn't win.
It seems like we have a school ground full of children calling each other names and pouting because they lost.
Anyway - just my opinion.

I prefer to keep my vote to myself, however well said. What's going on in this country is shameful and I think there is fault on both sides of the coin

I'm with you. I didn't even vote.
I don't think people are used to having a president that is so far doing what he said he was going to do so soon and so fast. Bunch of sore losers in my opinion. They care more about social issues than the bigger picture.

If I was in the US I wouldn't have voted for either as I don't think they're any good
For me it's just the same as when obama came to power...all the birthers and others protested and it's the same with people who oppose trump I think

@kellyr634 you've essentially a 2 party system.
We do too.
It isn't good.
That being said I'd take my system over yours...I don't like the electoral college.
The person that gets the most votes from people should win the election, in my opinion.

@Mike197602 the electoral college has worked well for us. There have only been a few presidents elected without the popular vote. Trump is one of them. It's never come under fire until now.

Ah ah ah That's a two-way street there! Trump supporters weren't/ aren't as angelic as you seem to think! They have very colourful language too. I seem to remember they shouting mantras like "Get out of America" and "Cry babies" to name a few at the people who were/are against Trump.
You are also wrong when you say that they are protesting because their candidate lost. Many of them had voted third party, some voted Trump himself and plenty didn't vote at all. So, Clinton is not on their radar.
They don't care who you voted. They care that the results/ aftermath of Trump winning has enabled racism, sexism, homophobia, hatred, etc.. in their country!
And no you voting for Trump does not make you racist, sexist, homophobic etc... OH you also forgot that most of the globe is protesting Trump's Presidency! They are not even Americans. The Holocaust Memorial Day couldn't have been here at more appropriate time!
Quite frankly, they were/ are not wrong after having seen Trump's actions in the first week. God bless America and rest of us too!

I have read very bad comments about French on Breitbart from Trump supporters. I think he attracted to him a lot of far right people who are really racist/xenophobic, while a majority of Republicans are not. Same for the referendum on the Brexit in UK. I am worried because of all these populist parties expanding and emboldening around the world. You cannot deny that Trump is following his program, which is quite unique for a populist. He is ready to create ecological disasters just to enrich people who are already rich : money has no moral/ethics...

So the people protesting Trump- voted for Trump? No I don't think so. That doesn't make sense.
And calling someone a crybaby when they are pitching a fit is not as bad as calling someone a racist.

@kellyr634 Not ALL the people but Some. So protesting and Right to Freedom of speech is "pitching a fit" nowadays? LMAO!
I am scared to ask you the definition of "racism" in such case!

Very well said. There's a lot of tantrum-taking going on, because these people didn't get their way. They were so conditioned to getting their own way over the last eight years, that now they can't believe it's come to an end. The media has a lot to do with it too.

Yes, there seems to be a lot of hate right now, and that is why I usually do not post any politics on my fb page, or like the comments with them or respond, because we all have different views.

I don't think we should comment on US politics with our Indian viewpoint.
