What's for dinner? January 27

What's going on the dinner table this evening? Well?
I'm not rightly sure what is happening here actually. It could go two ways. We could be having ham steaks, leftover mashed potatoes, and steamed cauliflower. . . or we could be going out for dinner and drinks if my husband gets home early enough. We will have to see on this one.
Those are our options. What's happening in YOUR house? Staying in? Ordering takeout? Going out? I want to know!

I had steak corn and stuffing my mom had no potatoes. Now I am having me a drink.

We rarely order takeout because of my 3 year old granddaughter. We try to keep processed foods to a minimum and cook her food from scratch. That ham steak sounds great, I took some down from the freezer the other day from the Christmas ham and it's delicious. I have potatoes but also some french fries I cooked and froze. Or I can make mac 'n cheese..hmm..
Or we might just have some flatbread baked with leftovers, sauce, and cheese.

@NJChicaa Things have changed! My granddaughter woke up from her nap and wants eggs for dinner so her mom is making her green eggs and ham. Yay! I've never had green eggs and ham although mom read me the book when I was little.

I had a pecan spinwheel and a pickle.
That will tide me over until midnight, when i start getting hungry and eat a candy bar I've bought at work. Then that will tide me over until 2:30 AM when I eat lunch.

@NJChicaa I only do this on Friday's. Generally we decide what to eat as a family but they go out to eat on Fridays and I am still asleep and not wanting to be bothered. If I am really hungry I might buy something small, but generally speaking I am okay.

We have a thing where just the two of us go out to dinner every Friday night. Tonight isn't one of them. Lol! So hubs is making me penne with meatballs and a salad. We have been eating out to much, including last night, and someone has to watch her figure around here. I go very easy on the pasta.

On Friday night I had mac and cheese for dinner. I really love mashed potatoes so if you had them last night I hope you enjoyed them.

Tonight I am making pork chops and double baked potatoes with corn and green beans, some of my favorite foods. We don't do take out in my house very often because I like cooking and it costs a fortune with the size of my family. I also like to know what is in in the food my children are eating!
