I used to be a member of mylot a long time ago and decided to try and come back to this site. I used to enjoy it a lot when I used to use this site, but it seems to have changed quite a bit and I'm looking for tips and ideas about the functionality of it now and best ways to get the most out of the site. Also maybe we can introduce ourselves and learn more about the mylot population? I am a mom of 6 beautiful kids and work full time in a pharmacy. How about the rest of you out there?

I was a member a long time ago, too, and just recently found it that myLot has returned. My gosh, with a full time job and 6 children where do you find the time to breathe, let alone myLot?!
Things have changed here, we get paid mainly for what people do for us, not solely what we type. If we reply to a discussion the discussion originator makes money but we don't. I'm not making anything socializing with you right now but you are! It's strange but it seems to work about as well as the old system. I'm still a bit confused about it.

I am busy but good with time management I guess! With having 6 kids I need to do things for me as well so that was one reason I came back to mylot so I can have conversations with adults instead of just kids!
Mylot seems very different to me, but I guess still seems engaging. We used to be able to see discussions by topic but I don't see that breakdown any more I guess its not available. I appreciate your comment as it seems most informative as information even if your still a bit confused!

Welcome back to MyLot! I hope you enjoy your time here once again. =) The key is just to interact. I am also a mom, 4 now and one more on the way. I stay home with my kids and Home School them. And I babysit for a little extra income. It's nice to meet you!

@miesse2 For me it doesn't take a lot of patience as long as you raise them right. I'm very tough on my kids so they aren't hard for me to deal with. I don't believe in spoiling kids.
My kids are 11, 9, 8 and my youngest will be 1 on February 1st. =)

Thank you, I am hopeful as well. I always love to meet people with large families like mine, thank you for your introduction! It's nice to meet you as well. What are your children's age range? It must be interesting to home school them. I always wanted to explore that possibility but didn't think I would have the patience to do that.

Welcome back! I hope that you find the old place hasn't changed a whole lot.
I work full time as a PCA for a local non profit. My 4 children are adults. My joy is my 4 grandchildren. My cherished one is the youngest, whom I see most often.
My mother has Alzheimer's and I hope to retire at least part time so I can spend more time with her. Wish I could do it now, but as luck would have it, we need to pay our bills.

Thank you for the welcome! Mylot does seem to have changed quite a bit but I don't mind, I'll just have to learn to navigate it again which I am sure I can do.
I'm sorry to hear about your mother, I wish you the best with her. And unfortunately bills do have to be paid!

@miesse2 I came back after a lengthy hiatus and it didn't take long for me to figure out the new layout. Just takes a little time and patience.

One thing I notice is people like to make 5 or more posts, thinking that will earn them points it will not.. Post things of interest, not a bunch of posts, or most will just skip by them. Interact, answer people when the comment on your post,it is more about interaction than getting rich here.

Glad to see you back. I'm single, never been married, and I don't have kids. During daytime, I work as tax consultant in an accounting firm. At night time and on weekends, I work for my regular clients on Upwork & Onehourtranslation as legal consultant and translator, respectively. I live alone. I love all chores except cooking.
