Thinking of getting a fitbit thing

So I see all my friends and nurses and people with these fitbit tracker things and I was thinking of getting one myself. I have been watching them on and off on my one Amazon review site so hopefully I score one cheap. I want to start keeping track of my habits. Eventually maybe get the husband one, too. Do you know anyone or have one yourself? What do you think of them?

I got one for Christmas and I love it. I'm tracking my water intake so I'm drinking more water. I'm tracking exercise and love that it monitors my sleep since I have sleep issues. The Fit Bit just proves to my husband that I'm not sleeping well. However, I noticed that he's pretty restless when he sleeps so it would be a good idea for him to have one. I highly recommend it.

@CookieMonster46 I think so. It's an app on the android phone. I had to take the battery out to charge it last night. I tried to input water drunk on my phone and it didn't show up until the battery was back in my Fit Bit band.

I fitbit is ok, but some of the cheaper ones do not track as well as the more costly ones. I brought one of the cheap ones and it did not track good at all. A few months later my husband brought him a more costly one and it is really nice and it tracks really well

I have been wanting one for awhile. I wanted a way to track my steps and actually just downloaded an app for that. I still want one though. I am sure you can find one for both of you on sale. They are pretty cool!

I have a same concept one from garmin and really found that if I wear it it does keep me motivated and pay attention to my activity, but I find that its easy to leave it off and not pay attention to my activity. I also have never been fond of watches and such and find the strap on my wrist irritates me but more likely cause I'm not used to wearing anything on my wrist

There are different types and brands of them. I hope the one I just scored is nice.

I have one, and I used it a BUNCH when I first got it - the novelty of it, I guess you could say!
Since I got it though, maybe after the first 6 months it's languished in a drawer. You've actually reminded me to get it out, charge it, and get back into the swing of using it again.
They are a good motivator, I think, and they do make you aware of how much you're actually moving and how many steps you're getting in.
