To apologize or not?

I have a friend who is mad at me bcos i slapped her bcos i tripped on her foot and it was her intention then as a revenge i slapped her. Her face turned red and she got mad at me. Advise anyone?

If you tripped her accidentally, why would she deserve a slap?
