I got the computers back and had a nice weekend

Besides freaking out Saturday morning over my computers, ipod, cell and tablets not working; I had a nice weekend. Yesterday around 1 pm my boyfriend, his puppy, and his son came over. My son and his son played lots of video games together and got along nearly the whole time. He brought two frozen pizzas over for he and I for dinner. We ate it all minus 3 pieces and for once he ate more then I. They spent the night and today for lunch I made funnel cakes. I hadn't made them in years. Everyone enjoyed them! Around 5pm the computer guy called and said he had the computers all fixed up and he brought them to my house. He only charged me $40! My kids and I are very happy to have them back! The only down side was the 5 or so times I had to clean puppy accidents out of the carpets. I am doing a small load of laundry now of all the soaked towels and rags.

Wow! It seems $40 is cheap. How much is the normal price for a computer repair there?

I have no idea. This guy works at the local school repairing the computers and he does side jobs like this out of his home. I imagine if he had a store where he worked he would charge a lot more to cover rent and all.

@shaggin I think so. By the way, it is a relief that your computer is okay now. I will feel devastated if I cannot use my laptop even for a day.

Puppy accidents are very annoying (and smelly). Your funnel cake looks delicious.

My carpets are very old but I try to keep them clean. We don't wear our shoes on them or anything and I vaccum daily. I am hoping the puppies accidents aren't going to ruin the carpets in the long run. I wash it with soap and water and then vinegar. My house smells very vinegary right now.

@shaggin We also take our shoes off before walking on our carpets. The smell of vinegar should fade in a couple of days, I do not think that the accidents will ruin the carpets.

I think every time my boyfriend's son comes from now on he will be asking me to make them. I love that puppy but after all the accidents I was very glad it went home ha ha.

@DianneN My boyfriend leaves a dish of water for her and she goes out and drinks all the time. I think he needs to limit it to certain times until she is house broken.

@shaggin Well, the photo looked great. I'm sure it was delicious, too, so I don't blame him. The poor puppy is just doing what puppies do. We took ours outside immediately after he ate or drank and praised him and gave him a treat when he did his business outside. It worked quickly.

Is that a funnel cake in the picture? I've never heard of them.

Yep that is the funnel cake I made and ate that I posted a photo of. It was made from scratch but it is mostly pancake batter that you drizzle in hot oil.

All in all it sounds like it was a pretty good weekend. Glad you get everything fixed for a good price. Puppies are a lot of work. Hopefully he will be trained soon.

I will be busy this up coming weekend so I will not likely see the puppy until the following weekend. That gives her two weeks to house break more. I hope those extra two weeks do the trick.

Having computers is so important to all of us now. How did we ever survive without these?

My boyfriends house has had no wifi this weekend and his son wanted to watch netflix. My boyfriend told him all the things he could do without wifi... Play outside in their huge yard with the puppy, walk in the woods, shoot his bow etc :-)

What was wrong with the computers? At least it didn't cost an arm and a leg to fix them.

They were cluttered up with some nasty malware.

The puppy went home around 2:30 or so. I was a bit glad as I was getting very frustrated.
