# 54 Well, my plan of retrieving my Bubblews posts captured by the Wayback Machine has gone as planned... I was able to get 118 out of the 432 posts I submitted on there - so around 27% success! I was there for 30 months, joined in May 2013 up to the day they went down in November 2015. And here's the earliest post I could retrieve - submitted on June 25th, 2013... (Edit: the first link has automatically moved to the end of this post) I don't earn from these links so I think it should be okay for me to attach them on this discussion. This is the latest post I got - submitted on November 2, 2015 about two weeks before the site went down... https://web.archive.org/web/20151110192516/http://www.bubblews.com/posts/another-month-has-gone And if you click on the second captured page of the second link, it will take you to the time when the site has truly gone and what you see is the infamous Bubblews greeting! Yes, not only my posts, but I could also see the bubblers who left comments and my photos that I used as post headers there...

Wow . . . you retrieved all that? That's pretty good! It's so bizarre looking at that page . . . from a time when it once "was". Even looking at the logo brings back a certain feeling from back then.

@sishy7 I guess it's love/hate thing - we loved it there at one time yet hated how we were treated .

Not sure what your 'certain feeling' would be but apparently it gives some people a bad case of diarrhea too...

@much2say Yeah, I would never approve of how unreliable and inconsistent they were. But I'm happy it gave us a platform to reconnect when most myLotters migrated there during the non-earning period here. I'm also glad for the chance to meet new bubblers who then became friends and stayed connected here even after the site closed down.

So that answers the question that you just asked on my post! You have been a busy bee indeed and I'm so pleased you got good results for your time. Will you now be posting those posts here on myLot?

I don't know yet... I don't know why I give it too much thinking when it comes to posting a discussion on here... And yes, going back to those old bubbles just strengthen my bad habit of reading too much - I saw way too many things I want to poke around while there!

I have saved a lot of my Bubblews post complete with their link. So, I sometimes post them at the other site but before that I copy and paste the link to see if it's still in the net. And the Bubblews closing greeting is what I can see.

Yes, that what happens when we use the Bubblews links - I have saved all links of my Bubblews posts but they're no good anymore since the site's down. But you'd notice the links I attached was from the Wayback Machine site, it captured the Bubblews post shown at the end of the link. I was able to see my Bubblews post that way.

Very good, sishy! I am glad you were able to retrieve some of your bubbles. I have all of mine, but have never used any of them for anything on myLot. (I am not sure what I'd do with my bubbles here on myLot. You know what I mean?)

Thanks! Oh, I have a question about Swagbucks if you don't mind... You know how it's only available in certain countries, right? My question is, would someone from countries where it's not available still be able to open the site?

@DaddyEvil Thanks - oh, I know you always answer more than I ask too sometimes... That's what I thought, it's not me btw, I have no problem with SB. But someone else has trouble opening the site and she lives outside the reward-accepted countries. It must be just her browser setting or something then that prevents her from opening the site, right?

@sishy7 You are always welcome, Dearheart! "...if you don't mind...." When, pray tell, have I ever minded answering anything you choose to ask? Yes, unfortunately, even if your country isn't allowed to earn from a site, you are still able to open the site and "pretend" to earn money by working on the site.... I didn't realize you weren't able to use Swagbucks.... Have you looked into Perk and Dollartracks? Pretty also uses Perk and I have just started using Dollartracks on the suggestion of Adam (trivia79). I deleted part of that comment and moved it to the pm's. It had dangerous information in it. Not to me, but to someone else.... See you in the pm's.

I wasn't aware we could retrieve some of our posts from Bubblews! I was there for quite a while before they shut down. It's pretty sad. I felt like they had so much potential but it seems the site was too much for their small team to handle.

@sishy7 - That I'm not too sure about. They might disappear, I sometimes don't see a page that I've seen before, but that could also be me not knowing what I'm doing!

I was never a member of Bubblews. Actually never knew of its existence until I came back to MyLot. I was a member of Gather and slowly left the sight for other reasons. Then I heard of it going belly up. I lost all of my posts from there and that made me sad. What made me even more sad was losing the posts that my mother had made. I would like to be able to find them.

I understand the Wayback Machine is a site that captures and saves stuff from the internet. All posts in Bubblews were gone when the site went down. But the ones that were captured by the Wayback Machine can still be seen. I wish I can help you more in how to go about finding stuff on there. But I really don't know the technicality.

Congrats on getting some of your posts back from Bubblews. I tried the old Bubblews, and the new Bubblews, and the one I liked the best was the old Bubblews. I remember constantly hearing from other people on there that Bubblews were paying them the first minimum payout but would not pay them again. If they didn't pay they would just close your account so you wouldn't be a problem. Quite sad but it was great when it was running smooth.
@sishy7 (27167)

As far as I'm concerned they were never running smooth - their payment system had always been very erratic...
