I'm in the IT industry although I'm not a programmer (I'm a business analyst). What we use now is SCALA. It is used for functional programming and my programmer friends rave about it a lot.

@Priadarsi i think programming need thinking and if u r a programmer u can made good software with least resources.
Learning language Java, python, C++ etc. can made u a better programmer and increase scope of good opportunities.
