There he is, teaching the Ice Princess's future husband how to play pool. I don't know how he has time to breathe!
My older son was a corporate lawyer at one of the top ten firms in the world. He left that world for a better quality of life and more family time.
He is senior consul of a law firm at the largest consulting firm in the world. The top executives must like him so much, that he is now Chief Compliance Officer, as well. He lectures and attends conferences in California, Hawaii, Florida, Washington DC, The Bahamas, London, and wherever they send him.
Being Chief Compliance Officer means he has to go to Dubai. There has been a breach of confidentiality there. He has to meet with other lawyers and the head honcho in London first, to discuss strategies on dealing with the bad guy's punishment. He also must lecture the good guys on confidentiality laws, rules, and regulations.
My big boy is very busy with his new job of ten years. I don't know how he finds the time to give pool lessons.

A friend of the family who loves my granddaughter. We kid around that they will marry some day. They have sleepovers, go on supervised dates together, etc. He comes to her competitions, and won't have his own birthday party unless she is able to attend, which gets pretty tricky, since his birthday is the same as mine. Seems to confuse a few people here, but I'm not removing it, in case they marry in 20 years. Lol!
He earns every penny from that job, but he loves working there.

@katsmeow1213 I used to get, "Whatever." Some things never change, but we are thrilled when he takes a moment out of his busy life to call us. Our younger son always makes time for us.

@DianneN yes, that is a maternal instinct to be worried always of our kids. it is raining today, and my son left to the city. it is inherent in us to worry about and for them. i told my son to wear a jacket and don his cap, and he said,"yes, Ma".

All rest and no play as the saying goes. I am glad that he can make time to teach pool to a youngster.

He was an excellent student and is still Mr. Know it all, but is very respectful of our opinions. He told us that most of his travels involve work, although he met a friend from Poland (they went to law school together) and met for dinner in London. So cool! They fly him first class and provide 5 star hotels and top notch restaurants. Sounds darn good to me, too!

Ice Princess's future husband? Oh my . . . you will have more dress shopping to do ! Your big boy has a lot of big responsibilities at his job, but it's nice he does take the time to do family things (and for future family members ).

Dianne, how does he find time to breathe? What responsibility and a schedule he has, my head spins! @DianneN , that is a great photo, you can see the focus on getting that shot right, and I hope he took some time to rest a little after the pool lesson.

He loves his work and the people with whom he works. I don't know how he manages uncovering the bad guys and doing his usual mergers and acquisitions, contracts, hiring, firing, etc. He is very focused in work and in play as you can see. Lol! Thank you. By the way, you may very well be invited to the wedding! This little boy's mom was born and raised in South Africa. Little Boy goes there every summer (ours) to visit family. I wonder if you are related????

Oh, no. He doesn't travel that often. His hours are mainly 9-7. He's home in time to read bedtime stories to the kids in the evening, and even walks them to two different schools in the morning, before hopping the subway to work. He has his weekends free, although he works a bit from home.

@Jeanniemaries I wish I could tell you the details and what the company is going to do to him, but I've probably said too much already. Suffice it to say, this bad guy has big problems coming his way.
