LET YOUR PAST BE PAST

I am thinking of how my past I've detained me from moving forward.
Don't make the same mistake.
Let your past be past.
Never bring in dead issues in argument with your spouse.
If you do, You will only end up hurting yourself the more.
Phillipians 3:13 "brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken old of it. But one thing I do : forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead"
Whether good or bad, get it behind you and continue moving.
Don’t celebrate too much your success, if you do, you might not be able to do more.

i completely agree. I hate it when the past is dug up to intentionally hurt someone. I know we can't necessarily forget things but at-least making peace with the past and keeping it behind is the only way to move forward!

But now and then things might just pop up as it'd never been solved. It's easy to forgive but hard to forget... My opinion..

Completely right! Only God can erase it, because our brains work like a computer, I remembered my Guardian offended me when I was very young, I mean when I was 8. Anytime I remember this incident, I used to feel like crying, glory be to God now, even if it comes to my memory, no regret attached, no hatred attached, it didn't affect any thing at all. Instead, it taught me to treat people well.
I think that's how it should be, whenever the past flashed to our memories, it should not affect us, or influence our character again.
I hope it makes sense. Thanks.
