Why don't jobs work around others?

When I was younger I always worked 2 to 3 jobs at a time. Not one would complain. So for example I worked full time nights, part time days, then odd job afternoons. But most were reasonable working with you. I never call in sick, and always early, etc.
Well now that I need multiple jobs, and want a little more to save money. Can I find one? NOPE!
I find they all question why I work numerous jobs and why I want another. I don't know how someone could live off 1 full time income and support themselves.

Here its very common to have one full time job. The salary is not per hour but per day.

@ricki_911 Not really... You just have to make do when you can and have a strict budget to enjoy a little pleasure in life.

@diosabella My full time job would not pay rent, hydro, water, or septic. Top that with food, medication, and a car to get to work. I don't go out anywhere as it's not in the budget.

I think that since there are so many unemployed people, that are not even part of the statistics because they are not on EI that employers want to be fair and try to allow for those individuals to have a job. I don't really see the point as many who aren't working are not working as a result of personal choices they have made and someone like yourself should be allowed to prove themselves as a good and reliable worker.

A number of years ago I was laid off from 2 of my jobs within 2 weeks. I was unemployed for 3 months. I took any job offer that was given in all honest. I was making $200 on unemployment a month (not enough to cover a bill).
But I agree I know many who work enough to get unemployment then when it cuts off work enough.
I am not sure why or how they figure it out with applying for jobs. They can look at my resume and see I have always worked number of jobs also for years (5+ years each job).

Maybe they feel that the income they get from that one job is sufficient? It's pretty common here.

Here wouldn't cover the basic living costs. Rent, food, hydro, water, septic, etc.
