I have come to accept that I enjoy making and wearing garments with simple, clean lines. The Grainline Scout is a perfect pattern for that. This pattern's design is very straight foward and has plenty of room for "hacks" or personalizations. This time, I used a textured Italian cotton from Metro Textiles in New York; it is creamy white with small navy blue bows. I altered the neckline to a v and added a bow at the point. Not my best work but it was the effect I was desiring. The only really bad thing is that I've gained some weight and it's now a bit tighter under the arms than I like. :( However, I really love this pattern and will definitely be making it again.
