suggestions for dog selection.....

i want to adapt an affectionate and smart dog. But i am confused between a GSD and a golden retriever... i want the dog to be smart but should be affectionate as well. Any suggestions...??

I have a chitzu.poddle mix. She is a small dog but so sweet. My other favorites are siberan husky they are extremely smart and trainable.

i did not have chitzu poodle mix till now, but I think they are loveable n so adorable
