My idea is about a MULTI-MEDIA MYLOT.

Imagine selling or sharing your favorite media files on myLot? Even selling t-shirts or coffee mugs with the myLot logo on them would generate more revenue for this site. But more than that, the idea of a virtual myLot Store that sells everything from copies of books by the authors who usually only offer them through Amazon Kindle Books, and arts and crafts. If we could implement the sale of things created solely by the members of this site to help with earnings potential, myLot would become basically a super site. Not only a multi-media myLot but a myLot with a Virtual store built in. Enough said. I need to set back and read what your comments would be on this. I am not enforcing nor promoting ideas that myLot offers, but merely adding my 2 cents worth so members can look at it and help generate new ideas that might or might not be feasible, doable, or even profitable. I worked retail for years and I seem to think that people like to spend money on things and that means earnings for those who manage to sell things that other people really like. It could be a simple tutorial on how to write short stories, or children's books, or for that matter, how to be a better story teller or a better myLotter. Imagine at the basic level, a tutorial page or pages that promote positive interaction among members and perhaps generate more earnings for the entire site and it's members through the use of giving sound advice and an ideas section where members can offer up new fresh ideas. Nuff Said. Have fun with myLot. I sometimes get wild ideas. How 'bout you?

Then it would not be a discussion and interaction site. Perhaps a second site linked to this one that is also myLot but retail. However I am not too much into such ideas. I like myLot the way it is now.

I was reluctant to post this but did it simply because I like to give my 2 cents and hope that it generates a few more cents. lol

I don't think a second site is a good idea. Just options such as offers could be expanded. Keep it all on the mylot site just add some extras. Those of us here for discussions need not go into those areas...but those here for discussions AND earnings have more options...all within the mylot brand so that'd be good for us all I think.

Mylot is in a position to generate more revenue streams. Your ideas have a lot of plus points in my opinion...although I'll always see mylot as a discussion site[em]lol[/em I've had a lot of thoughts along the same lines as you and utterly agree with your points It is trusted by core members...if they could do other things under the mylot brand I think it would be a great thing. My wild ideas are pretty much what you're thinking

I am glad I am not the only one voicing some ideas. I don't want to rock the boat or try to sound off like some website guru. I don't know the first thing about doing business on line. I just have some years of retail behind me and well, I know I like to spend money when I have some also. lol

This is interesting! Would you be able to pay with your earnings, or just with a linked account like Paypal? (y'know, if this ever happened )

PayPal would be one of he best ways to pay for things so it would not make it necessary to debit your bank account or use a debit card. PayPal is a good way to do online purchases and is very secure.

@lookatdesktop I like Paypal too. But what I meant was, could you use the balance. So you might not make it to $5.00 before the payout, but you could buy something on the site with anything you might have earned.

@libster I think the reason behind the minimum payout is so the administrators of this site can benefit from the profits of the principal balance before making the minimum 5 dollars available to us. I think they have basically a right to keep it in their bank until minimum payout is realized. That way they can earn some extra profit on the interest from the principal. I guess. I don't know all that much about banking nor finance. If it were profitable to let us get payout at a minimum of one dollar instead of 5 it would require more red tape and time and no minimum amount of accumulated earnings to gain some extra interest. Banks like to keep your money until the very last day of the month to get more earnings from interest alone.
