Science Project Idea

January 31, 2017 4:42pm CST
So my 2nd grader has his very first science project due friday. (Definitely have to get started like now lol). His class has been learning about Solids, Liquids, and Gases. I have never been much of a science buff but I want him to make something simple, easy and what I thought would be good for his age. I ofcourse browsed Pinterest and found something I was actually going use for my own art project but I didn't even think that it could be also used for a science project. Melting Crayons on a board with a hair dryer and then take pictures to post on there of the process. It seems, simple, easy and kind of cool right? It's been a long time since I have had to do a project for school so now I am having to do this all over again with my kid. Is anyone else working on science projects with their kids right now?

I remember those days of encouraging kids to do their school projects. That sound like a cool project for a little one

I think it's cool too. I am so glad that Pinterest is around...I wanted to find something cool and fun to try. It's been awhile since I have worked on a science project but I will be having him do his work for sure haha

My little one is in the first grade and her projects only involves drawings, which, lucky for me, have an uncle who happens to be an architect. But oh, she also did a recycled project using plastic bottles. More like a diy.

I love DIY projects! I wasn't much into science but I forgot how fun it can be to do a project. I have seen some of those I might try for myself. I wish his projects was a drawing though he can get creative with that on his own!
