Changed our vacation plans.. Again!

We had been hoping to use our tax returns to go to Orlando this year.. but as it turned out our tax returns were pretty small and wouldn't be enough to get us to Orlando.. so we had to change our plans. So then we settled on a week in Washington DC. I found a cheap hotel and planned out transportation on the subway, and started planning what we would see and do while there. I even put in a request to tour the White House. Then on Monday night my son tells me I have to go to a meeting for the golf team he joined at school.. At the meeting the coach says he's trying to plan for the entire golf team to go to Myrtle Beach that week of April break.. the same week we've been planning our vacation. Unfortunately the school will not pay for the trip, and the cost is too much for the kids to fundraise. So basically the coach wants all the families to vacation in Myrtle Beach that week so the kids can get together a couple times to play golf in Myrtle Beach. It is not mandatory at all.. But the team is excited about the idea of going to Myrtle Beach and hanging out together. Hubby and I talked it over and we sort of like the idea of going somewhere like Myrtle Beach and knowing some people.. perhaps we can meet them out for dinner or drinks. Also, my son didn't want to come on the trip with us when we were just going to DC.. but now he has a reason to want to go! I do want to visit Myrtle Beach anyway.. we just weren't planning to do it this April. So our new plan is to spend 2 days in Washington DC, then spend a few more days in Myrtle Beach. The hotels are all booked.. Hopefully this is the last time we'll change our plans.. We leave Easter Sunday! I can't wait...
