Do You Like Seeing Layered Clouds in the Sky?

Yesterday after I left a dentist appointment I looked at the sky and decided I had time for a photo walk. I wasn't successful in some shots I wanted of the orchards on the hills, but I did capture this layered sky. When the clouds are layered like this, I call it a lasagna sky.
Do you often see skies like this where you live? What sort of cloud formations do you like best, if any?

I had completely forgotten the sky and paid much too much attention to sunrise captures. But lately I have been looking at the sky and feel they need attention too. Yours is definitely a setting that is a rare one.

I'm addicted to taking photos of them. I guess I could have worse addictions.

I often see them -- especially when traveling. I take the photos from the car through the windshield on those days, since my husband is usually at the wheel.

My favourite sky has puffy white clouds. The kind that you can imagine are all sorts of animals or objects. The stacked clouds that are the leading edge of a storm are interesting to watch, but can bring some nasty storms.

I have seen streaks of clouds before. Jet planes can leave them.

I don't think clear skies are much fun. Skies without clouds would get monotonous after a while. They make sunsets almost unnoticeable.

It's easy to get lost in the clouds, deep thoughts are optional.
