Love em or hate em, the lawyers stepped up big time. Not all of them, but the ACLU and civil rights lawyers mobilized to face off the "travel ban". As one Mr. Trump said while a "civilian" that political correctness has gotten out of hand, funny how the "Muslim" ban became referred to as a "travel" ban. Forgive me for that digression, just had to point out the Elephant in the house.
Now POTUS Trump, who has not only a war on what the Constitution, founding fathers and most Americans hold dear, has expanded his hate of the media to those from "danger" areas. Randy Rudy G. carefully explained he was consulted on how "to get it through" and they were careful to cite danger and not a religion or ethnicity. I (along with a Federal Judge) and most of the civilized world though can see through this.
Although POTUS Trump continues his tirade against "mainstream media" yet apparently briefs himself by self proclaimed "news" people who show up on the internet and look like they are broadcasting from someone's basement, I will follow suit.
The late night comics are as reputable and accurate as these conspiracy wielding "fake news" basement news people then....correct? So if you really want to understand what is going on....try Samantha Bee, Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert to name a few.

The ACLU and a comic have the best interests of all Americans...no all people...clearly in mind. Too bad the elected officials can't claim the same credit.

Is not factual or True.......
Actually the United States is only about 13 percent immigrants....The rest of us like myself Are Americans, native Born.....87 percent of us are not immigrants.....We are a Country of Americans......And we did not close our doors, we put a hold on people coming in from 7 countries so they can be vetted better.....

We absolutely are a nation of immigrants unlike any other and unless you're 100% Native American, dir297, that includes you. Maybe your ancestors have been here for a number of generations but we all come from immigrants. Most of us are a mixture of many nationalities. That's why we're called a "melting pot".
"We" sure didn't close our doors or put a hold on people coming from those countries from which nobody who ever committed any act of terrorism in our country has come, our racist, Islamophobic so-called President did. The court rightfully shut it down the first time and has done so again.

If you're not a Native American you come from immigrants at some point. We are a nation of immigrants. That's a known fact. Your husband, if what you claim is true, is in the tiny minority.
Since 9/11, zero fatal attacks were carried out by immigrants from the seven Muslim-majority countries targeted by the ban

@anniepa My Husband is 100% American Indian..And i am 100% American. I never immigrated here from anywhere..
If you want to get right to the true facts right now America is only comprised of about 13% Immigrants, and how much of that percentage is here illegally....
The President has the right to close the Doors to anyone he deems unsafe to protect all of us...
And their has been 72 different people convicted of terrorist activities from the countries listed....

Trumps immigration travel ban.....No where does it say anything about Muslims....From what i believe that people other than Muslims live in these countries...that are also part of this ban. If it was a ban on Muslims he would have listed all Muslim countries not just 7 of them
He is in no way going against the Constitution and i would like to know how a non citizen that is not here has any civil rights in this country.....
All it does is restrict travel for 90 days from 7 countries. so we can put a better vetting process in place.
We will see what happens in court Because the Biggest Job of the President is to Protect and defend the constitution and the American people.
But we can see how the left is blowing this all out of proportion, and trying to make a whole lot of noise...

The Courts have now ruled so I doubt it was because of the "left blowing this out of proportion". The United States is based on the Constitution and where one branch exceeds its authority and treads on the Constitution, I believe the Federal Courts made a "proportionate" and appropriate ruling to stop such renegade conduct. Trump touted he had "all the best guys" but then issued an ill-advised (more aptly failed to seek advice) and unconstitutional executive order. The US has checks and balances and it seems with Trump, if he fails to seek real advice from his "guys" who are knowledgeable....he will continue to be "checked" at the expense of all concerned.

@dlr297 It absolutely is a Muslim ban, did you not hear what Rudy Giuliani said when he claimed Donald had asked him to figure out how he could make a Muslim ban legal? He chose countries where he has no business interests.
It's a known fact ISIS and al Qaeda were thrilled that Trump won because they consider him to be the greatest recruitment tool ever.

Great discussion! I totally agree including on which of the comics get it the best. I miss Jon Stewart but his former Daily Show correspondents Stephen and Sam have learned well and Seth Meyers is a genius also. They're all funny and informative, we can learn more from them than from some "news" stations and get some laughs along with it. I also agree about the lawyers. I was so proud of them that night when it all hit the fan when Agent Orange put the ban into effect. They all just showed up, ready to fight for what's right. We all should take a lesson from them because we have some tough battles ahead.
It's so true that we're the country of immigrants. For the so called POTUS to be doing what this jerk is doing is disgraceful and makes us an embarrassment around the world. If his attitude had existed a century or two ago most of us wouldn't be here. Maybe some of us wouldn't be anywhere at all!

@Funkrocker President Obama didn't break the law, he actually KNEW the law and had READ the Constitution. Trump has no interest in taking care of people who are already here, he's all about padding his own bank account and giving tax cuts to his rich cronies.

Why not take care of people who are already here? Why do we need more people here who don't respect our country? Allowing illegal immigrants to stay here is unlawful. And all of a sudden you want to talk about the law when it concerns Trump. You didn't care when Obama broke the law for years, did you?
