Don't chase rainbow if you already have gold

I've come to the realization that lots of people around the world are actually happier at any given time than they know. DON'T BELIEVE ME? ok that's cool, just look into it. have you ever been in a job that you are unhappy with so you try everything to change job, but when you get the job that you thought you like it turns out that you were better off at the previous job? or you were in a relationship but you leave that person for another person, thinking the other person would make you happier but than you regret leaving and wish you could go back?.
well that's just a few example, what am saying is that we tend to gravitate to things we don't have instead of appreciating what we do have so we give up our 90% of happiness in order to chase the 10% we don't have.
I don't want to be too long but if i could give you 1 advise it would be to 1st try to appreciate what you have no matte how small or simple it seems and always put your happiness before anything else

“Don't chase rainbow if you already have gold.”
WOW! I really like that quote!!
Our expression is: “The other man's grass always looks greener.”
It's true though. We aren't satisfied with our blessings. We strive for more or for something different. When we get it, we're still not satisfied.
Although it's not that way with me. I am truly thankful for whatever I have and for what I don't have. Whatever I have, I'm surviving with it. Whatever I don't have, I'm surviving without it. Why complain??

I loved the idea you pulled in here. And i pretty much agree to it. Like some famous personality said that happiness is a state of mind. So yes, even if you are in a not-so-good kind of job or relationship but if you appreciate what you have, then maybe you will be happier and well, not chase that rainbow.
