Ever Forget What You Have In Your Closet?

I have several house dresses that are just long gowns I wear around the house. I have been wearing these rose colored short sleeved ones now for several years. Lately it has been so cold I have thought perhaps I should buy one of the long sleeved ones I have seen on the site I usually buy from. They are on sale and a good buy but I keep putting it off. I want to get my bill payed down and then buy some new springy things in a couple of months. Well, yesterday I was checking in my closet for something to put on. I found this pretty house dress I hadn't worn before. I forgot I even had this one. It's been in my closet all of this time. I took it out and put it on after my bath. Nice combed cotton and quarter length sleeves. A nice pink, orange and maroon print. I think it is good to check your closet occasionally. You might find something you forgot you had.

Yes I do shop my own closet frequently, I often buy things and then forget about them.

Oh I am so happy that you found that in there your closet Celtic. It is a nice surprise and useful for you. I know exactly what is in my closet..not much and I am glad it is like that. I never want to have anything much because I am so used to having to move, like just in case.

I was rather tickled too. I didn't want to wait for one to come to me in the mail. I pretty much know what's in mine too. I did away with so much stuff when we did the purge that I don't have much in there. No winter clothes for me cause I don't go anywhere then. Did you move out of that horrible place you were in? I sure hope so.

I am not a clothes-horse never was...so when we stopped working in 2001 I got rid of the good stuff - high heels, etc Now in my closet are several pairs of jeans, several short sleeve summer tops and a few long sleeve winter tops..a pair of flip flops and a few pairs of sneakers....that's it.

Me either. I have the summer stuff but need some winter things to wear around here since I don't go out. I used to have a collection of slides and got rid of them years back now. Sounds like you don't need much for winter months there.

Yes indeed. I'm having fun heading into my thrift shop closet, discovering clothes that fit me again. Love it. Last year I couldn't face my soft gray long coat. Now I slip it on and hey! Not a bad fit.

It is good to check your closet. Right now I have two outfits, practically brand new. I'm wondering if I can take them to a consignment shop and sell them. But I'll probably end up donating them to charity.

I have a walk-in closet so I'm sure there are many things shoved in the back that I've forgotten about

We did a 'purge' about three years ago and so I don't have much clothing anymore. I have a walk in closet also. It used to be jam packed. Not so anymore.

My wife's wardrobe is full of clothes still with the labels attached. Unworn. My thinking is on this why buy if you are not going to wear it? Glad you have found it at last and hope you get much comfortable use out of it.
