Maybe 'Your Generation' Is More-Like a "State of Mind" than Just "the Period You Were Born-During"

Tho the picture above (and the site below) http://www.wmfc.org/uploads/GenerationalDifferencesChart.pdf claim 'just four generations,' I can think of a few other ones ... most of which I've been a part of at one time or another.
The one most would conclude I'm a member-of is "Millennials" (as I was born in 1981). But "Millennials don't exist!" (according to Adam "Adam Ruins Everything" Conover). And in elementary school, I 'knew' I was a baby-boomer! and in high-school, I 'knew' I was in Generation X!
(I mean; I know I wasn't; but I felt like that's 'where my mind was' ... especially since I watched TV all the time, and that's "the generation they were declaring 'normal' at that time.")
And there are a few 'different names for The Millennial Generation'---the boomerang generation (as many of us move back to our parents' house), the entitlement generation (where our parents & grandparents etc. had to "work hard for every little bit they get," some of us feel we 'deserve everything simply-because we grace you with our presence' ), Generation Y (why? ... really! )
So 'your generation' is probably a mindset that 'the year you were born' is only one thought of!
