Roommate got us in one piece to the taxes lady this morning. Taxes lady speedily put our taxes world in good order and said that we'd get enough back to dent our credit card ouchy. (We'll need all the help we get due to Leah's upcoming surgery.) After that event we drove down to our mini downtown and walked around there. We asked in both jewelry stores to show us charm bracelets. Neither one had any in stock. (Hubby had the notion to buy one for roommate's granddaughter.) We then shopped at a little second hand/antique shop and found a nice bracelet. Next stop: the post office. Needed to mail the bracelet. That meant careful treking through slush and snow and over curbs. Good aerobics if you don't fall. We ended our little downtown snooping by a visit to Pho Saigon cafe. Very tasty pairing of tofu and vegies and white rice and yes, on the peanut sauce. I loved it though I am not a fan of white rice and only eat it when forced to. Sure felt good to be out and about and free of snow and ice. I think the temps are trying to rise!
