Book talk

I’ve been in the same book club for nearly ten years now. It’s a pretty diverse group of men and women but we have one thing in common: we love to read. One Sunday a month, we gather at the host’s house and discuss the themes, character, and merits of a different book. But after the discussion is over, we spend almost as much time choosing our next book. We come armed with literary magazines, Amazon links, and recommendations for friends, and usually have about 10-12 books/magazines about in consideration at any meeting. It’s a fun way to learn about new books.Do u have something to suggest, may be a good book, a magazine etc

Sounds like a lovely community. I feel like book clubs are waning in popularity with the rise of so much digital media available.

@kashif1985 oh yes, I love books. I began to read a lot as a teenager because my father was very strict and we were not allowed to go out. So I escaped into books. There was a book club that used to meet at a bookstore near me. By the time I made up my mind to go, the book store had been shut down and closed.
