Sunday means music here! Sometimes it's old music and today it is even older, classical but with a new twist. I absolutely adore how this guy, David Garrett, plays the violin and his rendition of almost anything! Take a couple of minutes to listen to hom playing "Summer" by Vivaldi... but put the volume UP! Then listen again and maybe even again too Maybe you don't like (or may not even know any) classical music but after listening to this (and some of his other pieces) you might change your mind! Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

I do not like Vivaldi, because I hear his music too often when queuing at the phone, but I have nothing against a good classical violinist, and I listen to a lot of chamber music. I will listen that.

I wasn't fond of Vivaldi either until I heard how this German artist plays. I have changed the link making it easier to find and I hope you will listen to it too Ir even his version of this classic from our childhood:

I'm not a huge fan of classical, though I do hear it a lot at concerts, etc. Today I'll be hearing a symphony orchestra, so I'm sure I'll be hearing a lot of classical music.

Where do you travel on Sundays? Yes that artist plays the classical (and more modern) pieces with so much energy that even if you are not into classical music, you are captivated indeed!

It is a beautiful piece. My boyfriend took me to a live feed of a classical concert on a park, for our first date. I wasn't listening to classical music until then but I think it's very intense and I like it now. I don't have enough knowledge on the subject but I am keen to learn more when I have the chance. Is David Garret a famous violin player?

What a lovely way to spend your first date! You are a lucky lady indeed. Fortunately when I was at school many decades ago we studied almost all of the classical composers and their music and I have many favorites. I first became aware of this artist last year even though he has been on the scene for some time now as you can see in the link. Currently he is touring in Mexico but will be back playing in Europe next month and hopefully I will get to see him play in one of the concerts not far from here

@mysdianait Yes I am lucky to have met him indeed. :) That's amazing. Live concerts are even better than watching a recorded video. The atmosphere is amazing and the silence in a theater full of people is magical. I hope you will have the chance to enjoy his music live.

@mysdianait And, on a totally different tack, if you want your socks blown off - set a aside ten minutes, crank the volume up and keep your eye on the moving parts here:

Yes classical music is not usally my first choice at all but this artist puts it into a different dimension and I could listen to him playing all day! I agree that his clothes for that (and his other) performance does bring it so much closer to a general public and not only to those who are devout fans of classical music

@mohdovi Ah if you work then I understand that you have a lot to do on Sundays I fall asleep without music and there would be no-one to turn it off if I listen when I go to bed so I prefer it during the day.

When listening to music I have eclectic tastes. There is no rhyme nor reason. First it must be musical...some of what I hear is nit music it is simply noise.
