When You Love Something No One Else Loves

You know, the really sad thing about being a writer is sometimes you love the stories you write, but for some reason no one else can see the value in them. For instance, I just wrote this amazing story on this site called Radish. The story is called Savior of Avalon and it was the first story I was able to write easily in a long, long time.I thought that, because I loved it, everyone else would be able to love it as easily as I did. I was wrong. It seemed that--for whatever reason--my story wasn't reaching people. People just weren't buying it. It doesn't make me love the story any less, it just makes me wonder why everyone else can't see what I do. Oh, well.

I'm sorry to see you feel this way...but that's what it is. If you love writing then just keep it up, not to worry about others... (I know it's sad to see people don't want to read it), but you never know, you might be famous one day...

I've always believed that we should write what we love (and/or what we know). If we are not passionate about our work then why should anyone else be so? Of course, sometimes we are passionate about our work while other people aren't. It's not always because it isn't any good (although, it can't be denied that that's a possibility). Sometimes, it's just because it hasn't reached the right audience or because people want to read well-known authors. I've been trying to get my writing noticed for years. Sometimes it gets around, sometimes it doesn't. Don't be disheartened. Just keep writing.

I read somewhere from a famous author you should write about stuff you want to read...Sometimes an audience takes time to warm up to the script.Good Luck!

If one person loves, it's enough.

Nobody will ever appreciate you more than you do to yourself.. may be nobody have seen that story from your point of view..
