The list of those who are grumbling that they cannot cope with notifications is on the increase. If they do not attend to their notifications those who have responded would be deprived of comments from them. If I come across anyone who repeatedly complains I will not go to their posts. Is that the right thing to do? Would you do it too?

I don't think I've seen people actually complaining about the notifications. Yes - they say they have a lot, but I've not seen them say they don't want them. I respond to every notification, though occasionally one may get under the radar.

If I respond to a mylotter and s/he is not commenting back, I would be careful next time when I see his/her post. I write a response with a thought that it deserves to be commented. I do not leave even a single notification unanswered.

@allknowing You are very right that if one does not post comments on the response, the concept of the site gets defeated and s/he looses the chance of further interaction and earning too. What to say there are some incorrigible souls in this world.

@dpk262006 That is the concept of this site. What point is there if you ignore some. There are a few like that little knowing they will earn too

I think I will continue to answer. I haven't read the complaints but I understand how someone may feel overwhelmed by all those notifications. There is an option to turn them off, I keep mine activated because I feel enthusiastic to see the new responses and comments every time I log in.

Notifications are the backbone of this site. If they are ignored those who respond and do not get attention will be left out.

@allknowing They are, I agree. Suggestions were great too, but no one is using them any more.

I find it amusing! Even the ones that complain do get back to me. Maybe a bit late but they do answer back, If I like to talk with them, it doesn't matter really.

When we respond we expect comments. And with the excuse that they have too many notifications it kind of discourages one to get to their posts.

If you share that you enough notifications it is not wrong. What is wrong is that you don't respond to it

What is wrong is that you do not comment on responses. Those notifications tell you that someone has responded or commented on your activity that has earned for you. If one goes past those notifications ignoring them then it is wrong. Why would one just write a post telling everyone that they have received too many notifications?

I read one discussions about that and I don't think she/he was complaining about it. Looks like she/he was saying that she/he can have it check later.

That is fine but not when they go past them. When that happens it is ok that we help them get less notifications so that they are able to manage them.

If notifications are ignored then those who have responded stand to lose.
