That sounds VERY unromantic! It sounds as though you are either paying him to come (why? Because nobody else would come of their own accord?) or paying him to go! How would you feel if a guy invited you for a dinner date and then gave you $50? Don't you think you'd question his motives?

Why? My other half and I will be going out on a double date with friends. We'll be going out for dinner. It's his turn to pay, though, because I paid last time! He was supposed to pay me back half but he forgot so he's paying all of it this time!

$50 for transportation? That's like 2 years of myLot earnings at the rate I post... not happening. Plus my husband would probably kill the poor guy before he got to use that $50. Maybe I should pay up front so the getaway car is already waiting?
