I did go to bed early, and then I have been semi awake since about three a.m.
There is Mexican chicken soup in my crockpot, and roasted veggies with turkey left over for my lunch today.
Hubby just called to say he is experiencing freezing rain and I should be careful. Warm up my car, etc.
It must be nearly time to leave for work. Have a great day.

Everything cleared up nicely. When we go to the store I tend to always check the marked down goods. We eat well, but cheaply. I made a total of seven good sized portions of soup for under six dollars. We had lunches from it.

@GardenGerty .....A person can feed a family rather cheaply if they are careful.

The roads did not get real slippery, because it warmed up. It did get to be a challenge to see out the window, though.

@GardenGerty That's at least something. At least it wasn't too slippery.

Freezing Rain is awful as its so hard to see where you could slip and hurt yourself.
Have a great day and work and take care going home. Very nice meal to go home to.

I encountered it after I pulled out of the driveway. It cleared up by the time I got to work. We just have such a variety of weather here.

Yes, I always seem to have a nice variety of food. I go to work early most days. I did drive more slowly, but still had plenty of time.

Lately I am needing extra sleep, possibly because I have continued to catch colds from my students.

I wish I could sleep and wake up like this. It is a bit harder to do right now that I have a one year old who does not follow regular sleeping schedules. My little princess sleeps at around 7 pm then wakes up at around 10 pm and stays awake until around 12 midnight. I need to sleep early because I had to be up by 5 am. But this current situation hinders me in following this regular routine of mine.

I did listen and was grateful. This would have been just a light rain if it had been warmer.

Nope, no seat warmer. I am fine as long as I can see out. It only takes ten minutes to drive to work.
