I looked through a few slides in this slideshow of 'celebrites who never married (and will probably STAY single)' and ... I'm confused when I see that many of them have children! I mean; it just seems to me that they are living "incomplete lives" (like driving a car without doors or 'forming Voltron' without both legs)---kind of echoes that 'lesson' of Mr. Scrooge ... 'all the money-etc. in the world,' but never having the fulfillment a lasting family brings

I don't believe that a certificate makes you fulfilled In the end what matters most is to be happy and in a healthy relationship

True, the certificate is only part of the fulfillment. The participants have to fulfill its terms for it to be a good deal! Think of it as The President & The Constitution: would one mean anything without the other?

Marriage is just a legal document. In no way does it guarantee a successful and happy relationship. It's the relationship that matters not a legal definition...in my opinion.

Wouldn't you respect the country more if it could keep a record of all the 'good marriages' that exist without the legal documents?

I think that is the path that many of them had chosen. Marriage are for the brave, mature and responsible people. It is just sad in their kids part, that no matter how they pour live to their kids they are still feeling empty and abandonment from their parents whom they can't see or live with in one house. Never had a complete family a complete parents
