I read poetry all the time. I even write it. What I write is far from what the classics are but I hope to be close to them some day.

I am not into reading poetry at all. Why do you only read it when you are sad or depressed? Does it cheer you up? I hear poetry is good to read and can be very uplifting. Is that true? If so, maybe I should start reading it.
