With it being Friday payday for some, time to think about dinner. While I don't eat out often unless it's tax time, it begs the question where do u all like to eat? Me its a chain if the price is right and bang for the buck. But I prefer the local hole in the wall. It supports local business, awesome staff, and some of the best food you can't get anywhere, and pricing is usually fair. So, where do you prefer?

Definitely a locally owned restaurant with homestyle cooking.

We would go to a local place (family owned) that offered organic veggies, etc. on their menu. These places are getting easier to find!

The only time I have the opportunity to eat out at a chain restaurant is when I'm in a town that I don't live near, as all of the restaurants in the towns right near me are local hole in the wall restaurants.
And that's fine with me since I like a lot of the independently owned restaurants around where I live.

Love it, the independent ones always have the best tasting food!

I prefer the local hole in the wall. Yeah sure. It supports local businesses and all that jazz. But the truth is: I can't recall ever going to one of those “practically a hideout” places and being disappointed with the food or the service. Especially not the food!
But speaking of support. There was a place that burned down and the owner did not have insurance. I want you to know the customers got together and helped that old lady build her place back up and restart her business! They wanted her food!! Now that's customer loyalty. True story.

If there's a good local eatery, I like that much better.

I agree it's so satisfying to have fresh food and not sitting for awhile under the heat lamp. Thanks for commenting!
