Why people always believe in different Kind of Gods? Why there is not having a common God for the whole world?

Where's the fun in believing in one god? That would be the end of prejudice and discrimination.

@Nafih017 _My comment was written "tongue in cheek". It was not meant to confuse but to enlighten.

Of course if not then everything that exist is meaningless. There is only one God and the rest just immitate it and make one for themselves. No matter what others says the idea of having God is all begun in one book and that is the Bible.

Actually I don't believe that the names of different religions are claiming the God is theirs. I am a Muslim I came to Islam after being a Christian. I believe there is one God for all religions just different perspectives and ways of worship. Once people stop trying to push their ideas to another we may actually be able to get along, but that would be too nice in the Greater scheme of politics and propaganda.

@Nafih017 I was bought up Christian but not really practicing it, went to Sunday school. Got a smack over the hand by grandma if I didn't read the Bible. I grew up without any interest in religion. Until I moved to an Arab country and so the beauty of Islam, as it was in its real form ans not the media form. For me I loved the aspect that there is only One God - Allah which in English means God. That no matter what you call yourself Islam says there is only one God. And Islam is part of the Abrhamic belief, so we love Jesus and we follow him as a Prophet, someone who is miraculous by the mercy of God. But not that he Jesus, is God. Because for me that made sense, if a human was God in any form it didn't make sense to me. So this small difference was a big one for me. Islam is very spiritual, it's about meditation, prayer and working on yourself. Unfortunately the media won't show the truth of Islam just the rubbish lol.

Which one is common here.. all existing Gods are belonging to some religion

There is a common God. People believe in different Gods just to fit their own interests and image of themselves. So yes I believe in a God that is not so common but rather complex. He is much more than a man that walks in the sky but he came to earth to teach us the new way to live and the only way to salvation.

I guess because there is so much confusion about God and sometimes people make God what they want him to be...it seems like people constantly search for who and what is God.
