We took our Taiwanese visitors to a few tourist attractions today. We went to Gnomesville which I'll write about later and also to Balingup, a small town in Western Australia which is very busy promoting itself as a worthy place for tourists to visit. While at the Tourist Centre, I was taken with this 'flower' which is made out of the plastic lids of various bottles and containers.
The small green lids come from full-cream milk bottle containers. Other types of milk have different coloured lids. Coffee containers, preserved fruit jars have larger and different coloured lids. Combined, they contribute to a very colourful flower. There seems no end to the creativity of some people.

This is true...some people have the gift of seeing "what could be" in anything it seems.

I guess it's part of the creativity. I can look at flour, eggs and milk and imagine a cake but I don't think it is quite the same thing!

@JudyEv I always quite like seeing such art - it puts everyday waste to colourful day brightening use

What a neat idea. I thought they were the lids from soda. Knowing they are the lids to milk I can estimate how much larger flower is in person then it looks like in this photo. I think it was @sharon6345 who used to made little Christmas trees out of soda lids.

You said it: it´s very creative. It is also important that they used recycled material to do it.

@marguicha You are right. There has been a lot of education on recycling and 'saving the planet' and it seems it's starting to pay off.
