I want to do more exercises in my life. I was wondering about the best time? Before eating or after eating or it doesn't matter just as long as we do some exercise? What do you know? What do you think? What works for you?

Early morning before breakfast. I find it hard to exercise with a full stomach.

I may have to get up earlier than I do then. I'll just have to go to bed earlier too.

I just did some research and they suggested to wait 2 hours after eating or even 3.

@1hopefulman yes in morning you ll fresh, after eating you ll feel tired and doing exercise immediately after eating is not good for health.

The best time to exercise would be getting up and walking to the fridge and eating, then going back to the couch. That's the best time for me

That would exercise the whole body. Do you that before eating or after eating?

I have a friend in Montreal named Rose Rodriguez. The problem is that when I think of exercising the urge to want to eat is more powerful. I need more self-control!

I think morning would be better because the air is still fresh. And of course, before eating.

@Jlyn10 I guess one would have to get up pretty early, which is not an easy thing for me. Maybe in the summer.

@1hopefulman Oh no, I don't do mornings cause I have to go to work. I go for zumba class in the evening and sometimes night class and I usually have my dinner after class.

For what I have always know and according to the advice I got from specialists, the morning is the better time to exercise. A big no is after eating.

I agree, morning with an empty stomach is best. If we exercise after eating, it is good to wait at least two hours. But, it is very important to do some form of exercise, movement or activity every day.

@LadyDuck I also love walking and I like to be out if possible. If not, I use a treadmill and alternate between walking and running and I do that for 30 minutes.

Recently 24 hour gyms have popped out everywhere to cater those who want to flex their muscles after work.

We have a little gym in the apartment complex that I live in. In fact, I'm ready for a bit of exercise and I'm going down now.

It depends on what type of exercise. When I go back to the gym, I take a granola bar on the go for energy. I eat dinner after Pilates and yoga class, but I do eat lunch before then. It also depends on the weather and road conditions too.

Yes, there are different circumstances for different people so it is good to be adaptable.

Fpr me, it is best to do exercise during early morning. It prepares your body for the whole day's work.

That makes sense but I will need to learn to get up a little earlier and go to bed a little earlier. Now it has been two hours since I ate so I will go for 30 minutes on the treadmill and maybe do a bit of weights..

If you do it early in the morning then you are good for the whole day and you don't have to worry about being too tired at night.

Its suppose to be 90 degrees on Monday, so certainly early morning would be ideal to avoid heat stroke. A lot of people do walk and bike in this area. Some bike to work great way to stay in good health.

That makes a lot of sense! I think I will go for a walk on my treadmill now in the gym room of the building as I have been sitting too long.

Cycling works for me, as well as stretches. But I've often asked the same question and never come up with an answer!

It seems that any time is the right time for exercising. It is that good. Let's just do it! I also love cycling but not in the snow and ice. I'll wait till April to start again.

If you want to lose weight and stay trim and fit...you exercise after you eat. If you are underweight and need to put on weight...you exercise before eating, so you eat more. If you are fit and able and have a high metabolic rate...well, it really doesn't matter. You tune in to your body and if you don't puke...well, it's a good sign you are on the right path! I have tried all three as my age progress...

All good! I did some further research and it seems that exercise can be done any time. A few cautions is to stay hydrated and to wait at least an hour after a meal. Let's just do it!
