Who remembers a site called Gather?

Some time ago, I was active on a site called gather. It was similar to this site in that it provided the opportunity to interact with others from around the world. Then it, like so many sites, was just closed down one day. I often wondered where all the nice folks from Gather dispersed to. There are a few that I have been able to stay in touch with via e-mail but not as many as I would have liked to.

I was a member of Gather and did really well at the site. It was a sad day when it ended; however, it wasn't a surprise. Many members were paying taxes for earning a lot of checks and it really made a huge difference for my family.

I was on there Debbie W. As a matter of fact, i just got an invite of FB to a page where other Gather members meet. I'm waiting on my acceptance it's called Refugees from Gather.com
