I think I'm mostly realist but can't say I'm not optimist or pessimist. How is it really measured witch one of them a person is? Is it the way you think about things most of the time? And what it tells about your personality? Every time I hear this question it makes me think what would be the real answer. I think positive way and also negative way but can't say which one more so I pick realist. I also read definition of each type many times and realist just fits the best.
So what about you which one are you?

I am a realist in a sense that I am a realistic artist. I paint landscapes as they actually appear.

Pessimist. Life has taught 99.9% of change is always for the worst.

Oh no that much negative life show you I think it's always good to prepare for the worst but only 0.1% chance of something good is kinda low
