From centuries this discussion has been going on... about this very idea of education. Governments change, world changed, and with this tens and hundreds of education system came and went. I don't consider myself that matured to comment on such an issue that is headed by scholars throughout the world but am genuinely eager to know about your idea about it... what is education according to you? What is your definition?

In my opinion, education is normally an established process for people to obtain the knowledge and skills to live and enjoy the life. Meanwhile, we learn the method of learning, and of getting along with people. In this way, we continuously get more competent and mature to support ourselves, and to serve the society.

In my university there is a graffiti that says
"Education is the people's treasure"
For me, Education is inculcating / teaching others everything they need to know to be part of it and to be able to live and work in society, then I think it depends a little on each culture.

Education is where you learn, learn to think, learn to apply knowledge, learn, learn, learn ... and you never stop learning so you never stop education yourself. Teachers can teach you. You can teach yourself. Either way you're being educated.

Education is a most primary thing which distinguish between human and animal. In Indian methodology it is said that without education, art,and music a person is like a animal wandering everywhere. The great philosopher and intellectual person Chanakya told that which education can't help to earning has no importance.I am agreed that motive of education should be advancement of society and values of being human.
