Today is Singles Awareness Day (SAD)

So today i came across a post and discovered it was Singles Awareness Day today. And the abbreviation is SAD. I just couldn't help laughing. Like seriously!!! Being single saves a lot of money and that should make us happy.
One hilarious thing is the abbreviation and an even more hilarious thing is how it falls after the much hyped Valentines Day. Are we so desperate. Do we need days like this?? Who actually benefits from these funny days. (Except facebook with its memes of course)
We need to get rid off such days from our calender and just stick to celebrating traditional festivals.

I would like to go with last paragraph of your discussion that we do not need to celebrate such V Day or SAD, we have enough traditional festivals to celebrate.

actual full form of sad is seasonal affective disorder...now a days there is no correlation btwn short form and actual meaning,,,these days are of little value, if you can love and respect a person throughout a year that is more sufficient than showing for just one day
