~Unexpected But So Grateful!~

So my husband and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day-we either don't usually have a sitter or we don't have the extra money. Not a big deal, we have been married for 12 years and know how much we love each other. =)
Instead I decided to babysit in case a couple wanted to go out and needed a sitter. A lady called asking if I would watch her son, and of course I agreed. He was 3 years old and he was an ANGEL! =) He played so nice with my kids and we had a great time!
His parents came to pick him up and handed me the money. They only owed me $20. I looked at the money after and I realized they gave me a $40 tip!! I called her and told her they gave me way too much money. She said you were the only sitter who said yes last minute and we are so grateful for you so you deserve it. 
I was left feeling so shocked and grateful at the same time!

that was a lovely gesture. You were lucky too to have looked after a child who was not a difficult one to have at all. Well done for thinking that you could help someone out on that special day.

That would be a very good night to be available for babysitting for just that reason. Nice when something is nice for everyone involved. Sounds like even the little one enjoyed himself.

@LovingMyBabies perhaps you can find a family with say 3-4 kids that may want to trade off. Seems any family with over 3 starts to have sitter issues

That was nice of them to do that. Glad to hear the child played well with your kids it is always nice when all kids play good together makes your job that much easier.
