This is the gift that children don't like

homework

I always think that all gifts are appreciated. But I am wrong when I watched an online video. A child was happy and excited to see a big box of gift. It had beautiful wrapping paper. However, when he opened it, he was angry and left. There are a lot of homework books inside I can understand this child's feeling. Perhaps his parents think that it is a great gift but obviously it is not appreciated by their child at all

He must have been bitterly disappointed to find school books in his parcel.

If I received a gift like that, I would be disappointed, too.

It is fine to be books, many books are interesting. As to the homework, I think it is a terrible gift even if I am a parent today

Personally there is a time and a place for something like this, but calling it a gift and wrapping it up. It would be upsetting to most.

Maybe the child is taught not to like homework or exercise book. But, my son likes it very much.
